central Scotland totally jammed!!

bloody hell, central Scotland is goon crazy!! all the main roads/ motorways have been blocked by snow, broken down cars, jack knifed lorries, people just stuck in the snow etc... and people hve been stuck out all day. dunno when the roads will clear, could be a cold night for some!

thankfully I got a landrover from work and took and epic journey home via back roads, but my dad is stuck about 10miles from home been there since 3 ish, doesn't think he'll get home this side of midnight! crazy!!

Not that you'd want to pick him up in the Landy or anything of course!

haha, I've offered to go get him, but the problem is where's he is he can't abandon the car. but the roads aren't too bad with snow, it's just lorries and police have blocked all the routes and I couldnt get back with him any quicker!

I'm raging, I've got this great vehicle to go play in the snow, but all the roads round me and blocked with cars I can't go anywhere without it taking hours! rubbish!

it's crazy, I spoke to some lorry drivers near me when I got home and they said they've been driving for 5+ hrs and have travelled from stirling to denny, journey of just over 10miles and should take 15mins tops! glad I'm tucked up in bed!

Yep. It is really bad. Getting fed up with it all now.

Snow days are a real drag.

Main problem this morning was everyone (who had not been out last week) decided it was such a nice day they would go to work for a change and got a nasty shock a short distance into their journey when it started to snow, again  Had they done what they did last week, went home and used public transport (yeah I know thats throwing the dice as well) there wouldn't have been so many cars abandoned at the side of the road stopping other stuff moving.

2 hours to get into work and then 3 hours to get back

We want heavy rain to wash all this carp away ;)

It was wild today. Of all the days of snow we've had so far, this was the worse for driving. It was ice, with a layer of water over it then about 8 inches of snow. Nice!

I went to the beach in Musselburgh and the whole beach, rocks and rock pools were all covered with 8" snow at low tide! It takes some snow to cover salt water rock pools! About a mile from here there's over a meter now and the council are taking it away in trucks.

and I still haven't got stuck or not got to where I was going yet. :)

Wow... I really hope this weather clears up for you guys soon, as much as I love the snow it`s obv caused chaos up there. I feel for the people stuck in it and I seriously hope it clears up for my son to come home from Aberdeen in a couple of weeks.

Take care everyone
