Chop Shop; Would you?

The series, second one on at the moment, is a little odd to say the least. It's on Quest and revolves around a Bangladeshi fella and a Londoner. They 'design' and build 'super cars' in three weeks using old scrap cars and a ton of sheet metal.
Last week they made an old BMW and need over £20,000 from selling it to keep in business.
This week they a chopping up two old Polo's to make a six wheeled surf mobile.
Having seen the 6" wheel spacers they had machined for the Beemer, and the bodge work on all the suspension, I fail to see how thay can call them supercars, and then try to get big money for them.
I'll see if I can find some photos to put up, but have a quick look and see what you think.

That's what the Beemer ended up looking like. Just a fat version of its former self, and ...

made from an old Jag, which I actually like, but would still struggle spending that amount of money on an old banger with a new body stuck on.

It annoys me that programme.
The both of them are so detached from reality it's ridiculous.

I've seen that program a couple of times and all they focus on is the arguments the two ppl have which are blatently staged.

As a piece of artwork some of the cars look okay but they are obv not designed to be actually driven, they are like the Orange County Choppers most of which look unrideable.

I'm sure the tanks on those OCC bikes would only get you between local petrol stations anyway!

But Bernie and Leepu- what a right pair of characters. I was thinking about the drama earlier too- what happens in between?!

Some of the stuff looks ok from the outside, but they dont seem to know what they are doing, there seems to be a lot of bodging going on, id love to see one up close and see how the asian guy got two opposite panels the same dimensionally.

Its not exactly west coast customs is it?

I don't like it, I prefer Wheeler Dealers, even if Paul the mechanic seems to do most of the work.

There's another mechanic, listed in the credits, Paul, he only gets camera time for the heavy lifting, but he's always there.
He's the one rubbing the cars down in the prepping for paint montage scenes.
