Charles and Camilla attack...

...a set up?

Why on earth would any security escort in their right mind drive the two of them directly through a riot - when they could have taken any number of less attention grabbing routes - and not check all the windows were up before doing so? Were they all drunk/asleep?

Talk about asking for trouble, makes you wonder if it was a setup to make the protesters look even worse...

Anyone want to chuck their twopence in?**

** that's into the thread...not the car...

OH and what should they ACTUALLY be chauffeured about in, just for sugars and giggles :-P

I was half-wondering whether there was some sort of conspiracy - the violent ones are plants to make the genuine protestors look bad :p

Regent Street is nowhere near the place were the main protest was happening. It was one groups that broke away when the kettling started.

The police say they checked the route minutes prior to the arrival of the car but it sounds like it was planned by the more radical class war protestors. It would have been easy to blend into the crowd of Xmas shoppers in that area and lie in wait.

seems a bit odd that the met said it was safe 3 minutes earlier for all hell to break loose.

A security expert had a good quote!

Quote:

Any thing more than paint being thrown would have resulted in a fatality

...and 9/11 was planned by the CIA.

I think it was pure stupidity by them and their security, with a touch of arrogance thrown in for good measure.
To me, that picture doesn't show goat face scared; she looks astounded that anyone would dare to do such a thing to them. And why on earth was their window wound down? Did they think people were there to shake their hand? Even the police can be heard telling them to wind it up!

I can't understand the extent of the outrage. They went there; what did they expect?

Seems that coppers policing the march and the coppers escorting the Royals were using different radio frequencies

I hope that stupid twonk Glimour Jnr gets the book lobbed at him for defiling the Senotaph. To think that it commemorates those who died defending the freedoms he now enjoys. Makes my blood boil

Oh, and he's a History student. Says it all.

They should have been in a Merc saloon with blacked out windows, not a Rolls Royce state car. They were being transported to the theatre, not on a parade.

You are discussing the police angle, why they done this and that, what we should be discussing is the ****ing scum who done the damage to the royals car and how they should be severly beaten and reminded that they would have beheaded not to long ago had they tried that **** back then.

I've got nothing but contempt for them and I know one thing, people say soccer hooligans are scum but they would never have attacked a war memorial or a royal family member.
