Going to rebuild the engine from my RGV 250 tomorrow. Like you both my bikes are off the road!

Re: Hibernation Thread !

All my bikes are under dust sheets. Suzy and Kitty SORN'd, Dave is off road, as I think the spark plug broked(I think), and its been so full of white stuff we haven't been able to look at him.

#shock horror# since I rode Kitty on Halloween all my withdrawal feelings have been cured, and I haven't once had the need to ride

#I think I'm ill#

Haven't been on the bike for three weeks... think thats the longest time without a ride while it has been with me, which is worrying.

Anyone know what the weather is like up Beverley way?

I am really missing the bike! And its only the end of my first season riding. Please someone tell me this gets easier.

Was sorely tempted to get the bike out today as it was a balmy 7 degrees.

+1
I dug the bike out yesterday to start her up & this morning sooooooooooo wanted to nip use her to ride to play badminton.
However, very glad i didn't.
Took the wifes car & hit loads of black ice in town.
I think it will be better next week & I'm off so I might have a blast out somewhere.

Re: Hibernation Thread !

I thought you lot were supposed to be tough up there? poor Maria's little YBR struggles with heated grip, but that's not stopped her :smt023, OK Richie's now hung up his "hard as nails" corporals stripes and moved to the softer life...;), so that's "understandable" (by the way congrats on that mate), and of course thoughs who've got someone totally depended on them*, aren't going to have much spare time, but I don't understand the summer riders mentality at all, it's totally your choice to give up riding and take your bikes off the road, but then it was your choice, me I choose to keep both my enjoyment and skills as sharp as possible, every rider should have the ability to ride in the wet anyway, and snow & ice riding skills apart from being great fun, do teach you fantastically smooth and precise bike control.

Anyway on a personal note I'm enjoying the extra performance this time of year gives you and the clear bike lanes as well.

What's the saying "there's no such thing as bad weather, just wrong clothing"

* I was thinking young Oliver Lou, but Pete may fit the criteria as well :smt102

Cheers Mark.

Re: Hibernation Thread !

I spend all week working outside, the last thing I need is a freezing bike ride. My bike is up on paddock stands having some work done. That's what winter is for really.
