Blueflame can damaged.
 

I am having a problem with mine it appears to loose at the sleve where it enters the bottom of the can,due to this movment now the end of the can now appears to be cracking.Blueflame wont cover under warranty as dont have recept,last time i spoke to them they wanted £80 plus the cost of shipping. Anybody got ideas on a fix?

Mine did the exact same thing on my ninja, and seeing as their factorys only down the road from me in Skem I arranged to get it sorted there in person. I never got that far though, couple of days before fix I went over a bump, bike goes louder than usual, look down, where the ****s my pipe gone!?

The crack started out small and ended up making my pipe a new addition to some farmers field after only 2 rides. Doesnt really help you just thought i'd warn you to get it fixed asap :)

This happened to the carbon can on my SV, the carbon started cracking down around the bottom of the can where the rivets attach it to the collar.

What I did was drill out the rivets and split the outer sleeve from the exhaust inners.

Then chop down the outer sleeve (made mine a stubby) then chop down the inner tube of the exhaust to match the length of the outer sleeve and fit it all back together.

Then re-rivet it(stainless rivets!) and the jobs a good 'un!

Exact same thing happened on my twin port oval blueflame can. It happened on mine as the hanging strap broke and all the weight was on the slip on connection. I got my bro to weld it up at work and its as good as new. How old is your can? Im prety sure they have to honour the warrenty under the sale of goods act and either replace, repair or refund you for the product.

This is my first post in while its good to see this site still has members that come back with good advice. Multistrada.net is not a patch on this site lucky if I get a reply on that site!
No warranty as no recept,the cost of sending back might as well put that towards another Can, a lot of good value ones on the market.
svmatt, what did it looklike after it was welded?
Was meant to be selling the SV it when I got the Multistrada,but keep putting it off!

I have always loved the look of Blue Flame Cans especially the dual port exit ones. However, I have always been put off with stories of them dropping to bits and poor first time customer service.

Same happened on my blue flame twinport exhaust after 6 months, the lip also fell off that holds the baffle in. Link the guy at blue flame to this thread and explain that it a design fault and should be repired free of charge in my eyes.
