Hi Guy's SV650 on the way
Wow I havn't been on here for ages!
vardypeeps - Rob Vardy checking in, I used to own the brown Red Bull curvy that has a few pictures kicking about somewhere. I'm just about to get back in to all things SV again hopefully with a blue SV650 2004 (pointy). Just wondering if there are any main things to check/look out for on a the bike above that I'm going to look at soon? Any advice? Cheers, Rob  |

Re: Hi Guy's SV650 on the way
I was going to post a biktrader link but works internet is going mental!
It's a 2004 registered late 2005 and it's done just over 14000 miles. No obvious damage to fairings, exhaust & engine casings? Anything else? Ta |

Re: Hi Guy's SV650 on the way
Worth noting the first "big" service is at 15000miles, if its got fsh then they may have been hoping to dodge this service (knowing there is a fault) obviously could be that this service has already been done but its defo worth asking about.
{SHAMELESS PLUG ALERT} If you're interested, mines still available: http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=158633 As is listed in there with the addition of a spare chain and sprocket kit, and some pazzo style blue levers (plus originals). Im only the other side of baliff bridge to you so your free to inspect it at somepoint over christmas if you want. I can tell you before you read it though, mines a CAT D, honestly there is feck all wrong with it but the recorded damage does seem to put a few people off, but thats the reason the price is only 2K to hopefully change their minds :) |
Re: Hi Guy's SV650 on the way
If you stretch the extra £500 buy Owen's bike. That has had some sensible mods done to it, and the fact that it has the fairing lowers will save you a fortune.
