Re: What tents are good?
I bought a 4 person one off Ebay for £13, small enough to fit on the rack.
Was a Millets Eurhike one, so ok. If you don't want to spend a lot of money this is the way to go. Otherwise get a Vango or reputable make like this. I've got a 2 man Vango which was a present in 1983 and its still as waterproof as it was then |
Re: What tents are good?
I have a Vango Banshee 200... It weighs just under 2kg and is very small. It costs about £99.

Re: What tents are good?
I have a Vango Spectre which is a tiny pack size and weighs 3kgs. However it is 3 man!

Re: What tents are good?
I also have this after a recommendation by someone on here:
http://www.millets.co.uk/product/092951.html THe advantage of this one is if you are camping in bandit country you can put your tent in the bag. The only disadvantage is that it is a bit bulky. Oh I paid £20 for mine in the closing down sale at Blacks in York, |

Re: What tents are good?
IMO stick with a vango cos they are good tents for the money.
I've got a 3 man vango but tbh 2 is max really. For my solo tours next year ( ie without wife) I'm gonna get a pop up two man one that goes up in minutes. |
Re: What tents are good?
I intend to use the Vango Spectre next year. It fits in the luggage easy without have to bungee strap it to the outside.
