Global Cat Experiment
If you have a cat, or access to a cat, could you please whistle the whistling part from "Sitting On The Dock Of The Bay" to it and see the reaction from the cat?
Just keep whistling it over and over. I've found a second cat that goes crazy with affection to this. I have no idea why it works and only on some cats but its a strange one! I'd be interested to see if there are any other cats out there that are triggered by whistling this. Maybe I can get a PHD grant on it? :) C |

Re: Global Cat Experiment
Current cats don't react to whistles. Previous cat used to put a paw over your mouth if you whistled.
Current cats aren't that fond of other music though, tend to leave the room/house if instruments are produced. Don't seem to mind the drums so much... |
Re: Global Cat Experiment
I tried it on the Jack Russell,
He just looked at me with the expression he reserves for his Humans when they exhibit retarded behaviour. |
Re: Global Cat Experiment
1) The reaction isn't to general whistling, its to the specific tune from Dock of the bay. No other tune that I've tried works, just this one.
2) I don't know if anyone ever pointed this out but a Jack russel isn't a cat. :) |
