How will the insurance try to screw me?

So the Ex Girlfriend crashed my car yesterday and luckily the Insurance is still in place on it. The Damage is touch and go for a write off so here's a little sweepstake on how the insurance company will try to get out of the claim or reduce the payout

How do you think they'll do it? :)

I wouldn't be claiming if I didn't have protected no claims so no justification for a higher premuim next year.

+1

they'll write it off esp if there's been no injuries

protected no claims = nothing they'll still bump it up even if its non fault

VAT increase/cost of living/number of general claims and usual rubbish excuses will mean they will try up it.

but most insurance will just do the easyest either 100% out of claim(if solid reason) or try right it off as it less work an they make too much money.

You may keep your full protected NCB next year but your basic premium will go up dramatically because you will be calculated to be a higher risk.
Thats how they will screw you.

Well, its a good job I've got another policy with full no claims bonus to use instead then :)

This claim can't affect both. They can't have their cake, screw you for more cake and then screw you for the oven it was cooked in... He says knowing its an insurance company and he'd better Vaseline up regardless! :)

Oh, and I'm no higher a risk than I was because it was her that crashed it and She'll not be on the next policy. Therefore, Risk removed.

Don't believe that for a minute Mrs Chucca has the same protected insurance, has had a couple of incidents that weren't her fault (other dozy women drivining into the back of her car) and her insurance went up. They WILL put your premium up.
