Re: GSXR 1000 rear shock
unless your 5' feckall like me i would pass on that shock. they are way to short. how much... no chance
getting any GSXR shock will still require you to cut the bat box http://forums.sv650.org/showpost.php...9&postcount=34 |
Re: GSXR 1000 rear shock
Pretty much what Bibio has said. Plus at £99 its pretty expensive. I got my K4 gsxr thou shock for £50 on ebay. The only real issue i had was getting the battery back in (but in the end i gave up an replaced.) (Also, i think it is currently set to hard for me lol)
There is a table full of rear shocks and info regarding them somewhere on here. Use that to find one with suitable length/settings |

Re: GSXR1000K8 shock fit Pointy?
I've got a Gixer K3 1000 shock which is great. Did have to cut the battery box but nothing like major surgery. The stock battery went in OK, but was touching the riders seat a little. I have since bought the slimmer YUASA YT12B-BS from www.mdsbattery.co.uk for a great price (Batteryman off the .org).

That looks perfect although a bit steep (think mine was £50 delivered), although it says low mileage.
Good luck with it! Quote:

Will fit. You will have to cut out the battery box and raise the battery in order to get the reservoir to fit. I ended up replacing the battery (can get you the battery code i replaced with if needed) just to ensure it was not touching the shock or the top of the seat.

I fitted the YT12A BS battery as its shorter in height

Re: GSXR1000K8 shock fit Pointy?
Think i paid 50notes for my (now Spikes) gsxr1000 shock, wouldn't pay much more than that if i where you. However i would defo do it; the difference to handling is so much better! :D
