Recommend me some m/c trousers please
Looking for some trousers for the bike. Not keen on leather since the Village People released YMCA. These are to replace my RST Rifts which have not lasted 6 months.
Favourites at the mo are Weise Titan's as I would prefer a short leg option. Don't want to spend more than £150 ideally. Thanks. |
Re: Recommend me some m/c trousers please
Its you want textiles, i paid about £130 for my Ixon ones, but ive had them 2 years and they still look brand new, i only wear them in cold weather tbh, but with the removal winter lining in, ive never been remotely cold in them.
Havent had a big crash in them so cant tell what they would be like in that respect, but... I did have a slight off in them as well, but they only picked up some dirt. Ive also got the matching jacket which is equally warm and well made, not even 1 stitch has come undone yet, unlike my a* leathers. |
Re: Recommend me some m/c trousers please
Cheers SO.
Textiles are correct. I could never get on with leather ones. I will have a look at the Ixon ones now but need a short leg option if possible or the knee protection becomes shin protection . I have a Weise jacket that is great but all this stuff is made in the far east anyway so I think regardless of the name or price there is a struggle for any kind of quality. |

Halvarrsons/ Joffma, mine have never let me down.
Removable winter liners (never needed the trouser liners in yet) and waterproof. Only thing thats gone wrong is two zips on the jacket (both my fault, being abusive with it), and the insides been melted by an exhaust |
Re: Recommend me some m/c trousers please
I would need to save up for these, or sell my partners kids internal organs.

Re: Recommend me some m/c trousers please
I have some spada`s from Steve Jordans (short leg option available) I paid about £90.00 for them, these come with the removable liners are waterproof & knee protectors. I`ve used them daily for 6 months (yes even in the snow) and have never had a problem with them.

Re: Recommend me some m/c trousers please
I don't really like the look of these. I have just got some Spada gloves and boots so could end up looking like Mr Spada. I put the boots are up for sale on here but if they don't sell I will just try and wear them in. Thanks.

Re: Recommend me some m/c trousers please
I'll put my neck out and say i wear HG's own textiles for now until I can afford leathers. I've worn them almost every day since may, and they're taking it well. Factor into it that I don't take them off at work, and consider that im a forklift driver doing a lot of manual labour, and it appears to be £100 well spent.

Re: Recommend me some m/c trousers please
Another vote for Halvarssons, I've got the Zen ones, pricey yes, but very, very good. They've never let any water in, and even in minus whatever I don't need the thermal lining, And they've never been washed and still look new.

Re: Recommend me some m/c trousers please
Halvarssons are off the list. Cost more than my bike is worth.
I will pop into HG's in Nottingham during the week. It is only a mile from where I work. So far the Weise are still winning though. |
