Beowulf Exhausts.
rant time lol
i decided to get a new exhaust for my bike and the choices that i had come down to were a beowulf warrior or a scorpion street extreme. i finally chose the warrior as i have heard great things said about the company so i phoned them up and placed and order to the nice and polite person on the other end of the phone. i was looking forward to my nice shiny new purchase. it arrived so i unpacked it and had a look over at what they had sent me. this is where my disappointment began first thing i notice is that there is a weld mark all the way down the centre of the back of the can where they have joined the sheet together which is that horrible brown colour, when they designed it they could have put it on the bottom where its not seen as much like every other can company. next i had asked them at time of purchase that i wanted no stickers on the can and the sales person said thats no problem. well there was indeed no sticker but what they have done is just take it of at the factory and buff the can a little to try and hide it. they never done a good job as the can is now not 'mirror' finish as advertised what i have effectively got is a 'seconds'. i would not have minded to much if they even had a decent attempt at creating a mirror finish again but it awful as you can still see the word beowulf when its cold and breathed on and it now has a minor 'brushed' look. i will be contacting them tomorrow and expressing my disappointment. apart from the above the can is really nice and the shape is lovely if a bit narrow. |

i'm just being a fussy git as usual. supose the mirror finish is going to get hazed anyway. but the seam weld is a bit off putting. |

Re: Beowulf Exhausts.
Suggest you tell them you want your money back. It should be perfect. I think you made the right choice just got a dodgy example. They're expensive enough, give'em stick and get a good one or your money back.

Re: Beowulf Exhausts.
Unusual for Beowulf, I'd give them a ring, and have a chat, they're very approachable.
I've been in the factory, good set of fellas, fixed me poofwaggon when it broke there before xmas, I only popped up for some exhaust clamps for the VRap, the fella slipped me another set for the SV when no one was looking :) I'd hedge me bet they'll swap it for you with not much arguement. |
Re: Beowulf Exhausts.
didn't bother phoning cant be arzed. as i said i'm just being picky no not pikey picky.
besides i'm probably going to cut it down and get it powder coated at a later stage. |
Re: Beowulf Exhausts.
There is an intersting thread over on BCF describing someones 'fun' with Beowulf customer services.
Surfice to say that I doubt if anyone from BCF who read that thread would buy Beowulf. Our Beowulf cans are fine - and have been for thousands of miles. |
