Have joined the Mac clan
 

To even my own surprised I have become the owner of a MacBook Pro 13.3" with the higher spec out of the two.

Having never used a Mac previously I have been extremely surprised to find how easy things are......on a basic level.

Still don't think it's worth its price tag but I can certainly tell you I'm more than happy with it :)))

welcome along! If you've had an iphone, I find this makes the whole transition to Mac OS X much more straight forward. Those times where you've set up email on your phone or installed an app and then thought "is that it?!" you'll find yourself thinking that with the Mac :)

first time I installed an application I was like "so I just drag that icon into the application folder and it's installed?" - yes..... "what about if I want to un-install the program?" - just drag it from the application folder into the trash.

And if you ever get stuck trying to do something which was second nature in windows, it's usually because the window way was @rse-about-face to begin with :) have a google and it will show you the way

Great isn't it? No more 'installshield' crap like in Windows, everything comes as a .dmg and you drag it into whatever folder you like, DONE.

Paul - these were exactly my reactions!!! I had an iCrap 3G so I'm familiar with some of the ideas on the Mac.

But the MacBook is certainly not crap!! Phone is a different thing :)

Mac is amazing!! I am a Mac user through and through and don't care it is worth every penny. Think I have a total of 3/4 Macs inc iMac and Macbook Pro's.

You can't beat it, no viruses and its ultra sleek! Especially for me as a Photographer and Sign Maker. :-)

Congrats! You'll quickly find that people give you a lot of stick for owning one but truly deep down inside (even if they don't it) their just jealous because they really want one!
