Re: Ricky Gervais at the Golden Globes
The bloke is just not funny >>>.<<<
Having said that all the stars were being babies and crying over nothing, johnny depp's face made laugh after the comments about his **** film |
Re: Ricky Gervais at the Golden Globes
I can't bear to even look at Ricky Gervais, let alone hear his grating voice and delivery.

Re: Ricky Gervais at the Golden Globes
I've seen clips, I'm a fan. Hollywood is so far up it's own ar$e this is refreshing,.
Next year, Jimmy Carr or Frankie Boyle should host it. |
Re: Ricky Gervais at the Golden Globes
Hes not my favourite comedian by a long shot but he went up in my estimation for having the balls to say all that :laughat:
|
Re: Ricky Gervais at the Golden Globes
Liked a lot of what he said, but his whiney "no I didn't really mean that, oh wait yes I did" style just hacks me off.
Still its just the same as Russell Brand a few years ago... |
Re: Ricky Gervais at the Golden Globes
Guess he's not doing next year then?
Cringeworthy opening - this guys drinking himself to death - let's all have a laugh... Too many easy targets but the "Did he actually say that?" reactions score points. Not on my list of people I'd care to be stuck in a lift with. Nominate South Park Jimmy For next year. "What a great audience..." |
Re: Ricky Gervais at the Golden Globes
absolutely fantastic - talk about cojones !
The gay scientologists joke drew a gasp, the one about helping the CEO of the Foreign press off the toilet and putting his teeth back in was bold and drew a bad tempered reply... Bruce Willis intro - "Ashton Kuchers dad " - again didnt go down well... The Tim Allen joke got the biggest responese - Tom Hanks - "we remember when Ricky was a slightly chubby and kind comedian" Tim Allen - "Neither of which he is now" Steve Correl barged him out the way and then shouted "the old ones are the best " (but they are big mates so this was set up) The Tourist "Lots of 3D in films this year, except the chracters in The Tourist"...and then the coup de grace - "Im just jumping on the bandwagon ...I havent seen it, but who has?" and praps the best " award for CGI should go to the poster for Sex and City 2....girls , we know how old you are, I saw one of you in an episode of Bonanza" !" or ..",,,the owner of Facebook is worth $7 bikllion , Mark Zuckerberg, or as Heather Mills calls him, the one that got away" Also - everyone, you should check Robert De Niros acception of the Cecil B DeMille award speech, packed full of good jokes, but delivered in a throw away style, as if he was in his Rupert Pupkin persona from King of Comedy |
