Brands Hatch - 27th January

Hello all,

I've signed myself up for my first ever track day next Thursday and am very excited! also rather nervous, but looking forward to it. I'll be in the novice group and I was just wondering if anyone else was attending/interested in attending the event or had any tips for this track?

All (helpful!) comments appreciated,

Thanks,

are you taking your own bike? if so what happens if you come off insurance wise? (i hope you don't, but am curious as to what happens as i would like to do one but wouldn't want to break my bike :( )

You get naff all if they find out you're on a track day. You go on at your own risk. But don't ride like a knob or past your comfort zone you will be fine.

But then that's no fun. ;)

yep, insurance don't cover it. I am looking into track insurance, but yes, taking the risk...

Lots of people do don't they?

Nearly everyone i think.

It is such a rip off that you almost want to crash. Think about the type of riding you are going to do and how often and more often than not i don't think it's worth it TBH.

Depends on what type of bike you have as well though i guess.

Thats pretty much exactly my thoughts on TD insurance.
I was just advised to remove my no. plate incase insurance "spotters" were there.

It would be great to knwo that someone else is going to be there! :)
7.30 start, which is earlier than work so not entirely looking forward to that bit!
but pretty cheap and the rest of the day should be great :)

Holiday approved! Will book it later. What do people do with personal stuff (phone, money, bag...) while on track?
