Removed Front Wheel, Front Break Lever Further Out

Hi guys,

I removed the front wheel of my CBR600RR last week due to a puncture. Having refitted it all seems well except that my front break lever is much further out than I am used to. I have tried adjusting the lever and checked that the breaks are properly attached etc but I still cannot work out why they have moved.

This is not the first time I have had the callipers out as I have changed pads, cleaned callipers, break fluid etc before with no issue. I just cant work out why my breaking position has moved.

When riding the bike the breaks have good feel and stopping power, so no indications of a problem there.

Do you have any suggestions on what may have happened and things I should check. I would just ignore this, but as it is my front break I want to make sure I have not mucked anything up.

Thanks,

Jon

tbh id just take them off and refit just to put my mind at ease, its not like it takes long and what price for a unworried mind

All I can think of is the adjustable lever - but you seem to say you have checked this?

How strange! All I can think of is that there is or was a problem with the master cylinder but I haven't the foggiest why that'd happen.

Right - will remove and replace again just to be sure. Was rather spirited on the way home tonight and no issues at all.
