Recommend me a tank pad.

Whenever I have had a tank pad on the edges have always lifted. Maybe I've been buying carp ones!
Any recommendations for a decent one? Alternatively has anyone used
http://www.suzuki-gb.co.uk/accessori...d]=sv&offset=0 ??
Seem reasonable price.
Any opinions accepted;)

I've just finnished pulling my old one off.
It had lifted at the edges and had yellowed (it was origianlly clear).

Frankly it was a mess and spoiled the look of the bike.

I was considering some of the protective film stuff (thats the technical term I think)

Any reccomendations greatfully received.

The films are good if done professionally. I've got the oxford CF effect one, its virtually flat and hasn't even been affected by the weather

ive never had any trouble with tank pads lifting? isnt it just down to the prep of the surface that its being stuck too? OE suzuki ones are good but at £20 their a bit steep! mines a cheepo one off the front of a performance bike mag but it still fits/sticks fine :)

I've never had the need for a tank pad... Suzuki, Honda and ducati, never needed one.

What are you guys doing to need them? They look rubbish too.

Covering up a dent and stopping the tank getting scratched. Maybe you have smaller bits that never touch the tank ;)
