Curvy Exhaust Stud size
Evening all
I'm just wanting to double check the size of the exhaust studs on the Curvies. Went to replace the nuts to find the bugger was undoing the stud on both sides, grrr. Any help is appreciated. Also; is copperslip ok as an anti-sieze in the block? |
Re: Curvy Exhaust Stud size
think they are m8's like on the pointy also coper slip is fine ps you can mix it with thread lock so they stick in as well but dont corrode in

Had a feeling it was M8, but I don't trust pro bolts website with a few things |
Re: Curvy Exhaust Stud size
no problem
ohh they are m8x 1.25pitch i used 45mm long studs with 2 brass bolts one tightened against the manifold and then the other against the other nut |
Re: Curvy Exhaust Stud size

Going to do the dealer ring round on monday, see if I hit lucky with someone with SS ones in stock |

Re: Curvy Exhaust Stud size
Yes copper slip is fine to use also silver paste.
And if the studs are undoing aswell put the stud in a vice then undo the nut from there . then put it back on and tighten it up . if the stud does not tighten it up properly then use two nuts do them up it will screw the stud back in . hope that helps Ollie |
Re: Curvy Exhaust Stud size
