NZ Earthquake
After the above whats next?-seems to be more and more major incidents are happening more frequent nowadays-are we reaping what we've sown over the past years??

Re: NZ Earthquake
My kiwi friend at work said NZ has thousands of quakes a year. In fact this one was supposedly less violent than the big one last year where no-one died. Wrong time of day this time and many more people were around and sadly affected by it.
I think it seems like more incidents happen because the media is so quick at reporting them. |
Re: NZ Earthquake
Ultimately the world is more built up, more people are living on top of each, old building degrade and become unstable, new buildings in a lot of countries arn't built very well.
It's a recipe for bigger disasters. |

2nd- over the past decades we have taken everything that we can from the earth without giving too much consideration for the damage we have done, fired off nuclear weapons in testing without knowing the long term damage , polluted the seas etc-i was thinking out loud that maybe we are gonna end up paying a price for this with natural disasters being a more common effect its an opinion mate |

As for the rest, well Meh to that. Its very unlikely that we will destroy the Earth. We may make it uninhabitable for large mammals, but the planet wont even notice and it will all start over again. So, Dont Worry, Be Happy and remember Talk Like a Pirate Day :) |
