MOT with damaged clutch lever?
Had a search online, seems inconclusive.
Doing my mot pre inspection. The bobble on the end of my clutch lever snapped off ages ago, anyone know if it is a failure-able fault? |
Re: MOT damaged clutch lever
If it is, the mot guy would be very anal to do so IMO...sorry doesn't help does it

There was a thread on this last year and the station failed it for something minor like that |

Re: MOT damaged clutch lever
If the inspector thinks the end is sharp enough to be dangerous he's obliged to fail it. IIRC the Construction and Use regulations set a minimum radius for projecting corners hence the bobble on the end. But if it's rounded off so it's not dangerous I wouldn't expect a fail.
If you're not sure you could always pop by and ask. Most bike places are pretty helpful. |
