The summer riders were out in force today in the Peak District!

I passed 3 bike crashes today in the Peak District, 2 were serious enough for the air ambulance. Took me 4 hours to do a 1hr 30 minute journey to Manchester!!

I am by no means an angel but some of the riding I saw today in my car was barely believable. The scariest being some of the overtaking on the snake pass, corners I know very well, where I know there is no view around them on a bike no matter how high the riding position, yet small groups, all on sports bikes, were still passing on the wrong side of the road on the outside of bends over double whites.

Instant death gautanteed if some thing comes the other way  crazy stuff.

Must admit I have seen some dodgy riding recently but I was over by banbury today and done about 150 miles, seen loads of bikes and not one done anything naughty, suprisingly.

Must attract the knobbers up there ?

By definition I'm a weekend rider, I drive my van full of my tools in the week.

Doesn't mean we all ride like knobs ;)

I do ride in the winter though when possible so not just a fair weather rider :)

I found snow and a frozen lake on my rideout today...that rules me out of the fair-weather rider comments!
We didn't see many other bikes out at all up here, just cracking roads and scenery...

seen a fair few out today myself, had to drop the bike off at the dealers to get the heated grips fixed, rhs don't work. typical best day so far and only a 15 mile ride.

It's warming up now Andy, what you need heated grips for ;)?
