Thought it'd be nice to introduce myself first!

Evening all, Robbo here from Kent. Had a look about the forum over the last few days & thought i'd join in the banter & introduce myself before posting up what I'm looking for & advice wanted etc...

Ridden an Aprilia RSVR for the last 3 years & just bought myself an Aprilia Tuono. Use the Aprilia forums reguarly, which have been invaluable. Why join an sv forum then I'm sure you're thinking? Been bitten by the track day bug & am on the look out for an sv650 to use :D

Raced motocross bikes since I was 6 years old, 29 now & with baby no.3 on the way I had to pack up (raced 30 weekends of last year in the Red Bull Pro Nationals & British 2 stroke Championships) as funds just don't allow & want to spend more valuable time with the nippers. Done a few track days over the years (Cadwell Park on Friday which was awesome) & being most fall in the week means I get weekends with the family. If I can get to grips with the track riding scene I noticed the mini twins series so who knows what the future holds ;)

Looked at the usual inline 4 culprits (R6, GSXR, ZXR, CBR etc...) but love the twins & started chatting to a couple of sv riders at the last track day I did who mentioned they were a cost effictive alternative with an abundence of spares.

So, hello, I'm looking forward to the coming time spent on here

Ello Rob :)

Kent eh?

That would make you one of the SELKENT mob - so get yourself over there too.

Of course the Soho Massive would be your next nearest, many of one group consider themselves part of the other and are often seen at both meets.

SELKENT meet every other Weds just down the road from Brands Hatch, the Soho Mob can be seen hanging around street corners in Soho wearing leather and chatting to blokes they met on the internet...

Hello mate.

Yep, Maidstone, so 10 mins from Brands Hatch. Where do the SELKENT mob meet, Oakdene Cafe on a Wednesday I'm guessing?

No ****, the Soho Mob meet in Soho. Men, leather, internet - not always a great combination, lol.

Being I'm looking for a track day bike I probably won't meet up at road going get togethers on it but nowt stopping me coming to say hi on another twin, Ok, i'll let myself out

Hi very envious of your track day ambitions, feel myself drifting the same way. Good luck, you will find some good advice on here. Not from me though, yet.

Don't be envious mate.

I've had a rough ride personally over the last 6 years (can't be arsed to bore you all too much, Cancer at 24 changes they way you look at things & I lost my mum to the awful disease 3 months ago at 56, so life is short, you gotta live it to the full). Got my health, family & passion for riding to enjoy.

With an avatar like that you should know the world is your oyster son ;)
