cost of sv 1000?

Hey guys,
Just wondering if you think i'd be able to get an sv1000 with say 2-2.6k for a decent conditioned one and roughly mileage i would be looking at with budget. cheers Luke

Mine is for sale and is in VGC. It's just above your top price limit but maybe worth a look... :-)

Re: cost of sv 1000?

I've just moved from an SV1000 to A GSXR600. In the little experience I've had, the GSXR is better in nearly every way. I just need to re-educate myself to riding an IL4 as oppsed to a V Twin. The thing that I will miss most about the SV is the ease in which it will cruise at any speed on the motorway, but for back road blasts, the little Gixxer in the right hands (obviously not me riding!) will leave the SV standing. With the Gixxer though I'm contantly looking for another gear. I can't get my head around the fact that 95 MPH is 8.5k revs

well i had a sv 650 curvy and liked it if anything it was the suspension, it was too soft and fully dove under any braking then i had cbr600rr which i loved to bits and if it wasnt for writing it off would still have it but that happened and 7 months later should have some money coming in so looking for a bike but won't have the funds to get another like it. Forgot to say my bikes have always been my main transport and rode in any weather even in about 1ft and half of snow on CBR.
Would the sv 1000 handle corners like attachment????

The SV1000 can be made to handle good.. but I will say OE front and rear suspension is a bit rubbish that imho doesn't like the crap uk roads.. pretty good on track days tho... I have had a Maxton fork conversion and a Hagon rear shock, handles a lot better but no CBR or GSXR..

Not without rearsets, but... they can achieve good lean angles without drama on standard suspension.
