Rear Squeaky Brake
 
hi everone,

on my pointy whenever i use the rear brake lightly it makin a really high sqeaking sound and was wonderin wot i cud do to fix it.

after a run it nornally isnt as bad but whilst city riding its horrible.

any thoughts?????

Assuming you did not run out of friction material on your pads, probably a small piece of rock stuck in one of them. Check the disc for any obvious and deeper grooves. It usually goes away without even noticing but I guess you could take the pads out and inspect / clean them if it's really that annoying.

go to car shop or halfords and get some copper grease remove your pads youll see where the steel to steel has been rubbing appl copper grease to these and the 2 retaining pins holding the pads in place
these get a bit rusty over time so clean them with sand paper or emery cloth
