have you ever

found out how many issues there are while working on a bike by yourself, here's a few

find out your paddock stands been nicked
1000000's of balancing issues cos your by yourself
your lounge floor isnt perfectly level
sv thous are a big and heavy barsteward
your tool collection is missing 6 vital peices including but not ristricted to rear wheel nut socket, half decent jack, jedi powers
you dont have a abba stand
your plan needs rejigged multipule times genrally while your balancing the bike ,smoking a fag, and undoing a bolt all simualtainiusly
the zaust sensor is a fecker to get at
mr suzuki obviously doent use grease anywhere , ever
removing a thou exhuast is the kyrpton factor
removing the front forks makes the kyrpton factor look like childsplay
you shouldnt really start straight after a 12 hr shift at 7 am especialy when youve got another 12hr shift at 6pm that evening

also your wife may leave you for ,
the state of the lounge as it looks like a motorcycle and tools bomb has went off inside
the fact there is oil all over her house
youve nicked her safe to use as a engine prop (with everything still in it)
the police may come round thinking youve killed her due to the neighbours "hearing suspisous noises" and your language
or the fact youve to do the same to the 650 in the kitchen before friday and havent told her (but with less prop worthy instruments so it looks like her new garden set may be butchered )

as you can see just small issues , but zaust is now off as is front forks

dave

p.s anyone got a spare bed as the wife is about to take me for every thing i own

probably best to go easy on the bevvies if you want to get anything done ;)

I like the way when you are holding something in place and looking for your spanner/socket/hammer, despite the fact that you have not moved since it was last in your hand, it appears to have scuttled accross the room/garage and hidden under a rag

You forgot the tool fairy that moves your tools into your sons toolbox or worse still his works van especially 13&14mm sockets and spanners.

Hmmm, tool fairies.

so that is where my sledge hammer, 110v transformer, circular saw, 8" angle grinder and god knows how many spanners, socket and screw drivers have gone.

Hmmm oirish tool fairies. Now where did I leave my engine lift?

I'm an absolute bugger for putting things down then instantly forgetting where I put them. Lots of profanity normally ensues whilst I look for said item. Rinse and repeat till I've put myself in a mood.

Oi numpty! I thought you'd sorted all this out ages ago...I told you I couldn't make that weekend, however the offer of tools/assistance wasn't a one-off. If you need owt...I'm only down the road!

OK nobby mate are you free any day this week inc friday and do you have the following
humungous socket for rear wheel nut (thou is bigger than 650 think its a 32 or 34)
castle nut remover for yoke nuts
abba stand or headstockstand and rear stand
will to live plus entusiasm

anti dave preston swearing ear plugs provided plus brews and food

Re: have you ever

Hmmm...deffo have a headstock stand (bought one the other week), sockets go up to 32mm but I do have a 36mm oil filter socket that'll do the top yoke nut on a Gixxer yoke.

The castle nut socket could be butchered from a normal socket (not one of mine ;) ).

Bringing the stand etc would mean a trip in the car, which means the missus is more than likely to want to tag along, which means I'll swap some Nobbylass nagging ear plugs for your anti DavePreston swearing ear plugs!

Might have chance 1st thing on Friday morning....will check with the boss and pm you.
