Curvy undertray fitting?
http://www.intobikes.co.uk/products/...latest&sd=DESC
or http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Ermax-Black-Un...3#ht_558wt_905 right i am thinking that both of these would need holes drilled in to them to fit??? also for the indicators and number plate??? i the blue lump just under the red rear light???? or am i wrong???? would be cool to be able to remove that massive rear off mine. |
Re: `99 undertrays
Can't give specifics on fitting one as mine was fitted when I bought the bike, but you'll have to drill a hole for each indicator and holes for the number plate.
Can give you a picture of mine if it helps. |
Re: Curvy undertray fitting?
real easy this one
buy from ebay but dont use ermax get the ones gel coated in white they will have the option of cutting the luggage bars out you will be able to keep the original undertray youll need to cut the number plate and light off of the original undertray fit a motrax rrsend use the number plate light from a ford focus hatchback this worked best for me cut the wires for the indicators off so ou can still unplug them do the same for the number plate light will add some pics when i get back to the workshop hope this helps |
Re: Curvy undertray fitting?
Mine was a cheap one from ebay the fit wasn't great but its more or less the same shape etc as the proper ones.
I used one of these plate mate brackets http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/OXFORD-PLATE-M...item5882c9082f Which is adjustable and has indy bits etc as you can see in description on the link. Drilled three holes two small ones to bolt on the main bracket (do that before you fit tray to bike as its easier IMO) one slightly larger hole for all the wiring for the indys and number plate light to come through. http://i866.photobucket.com/albums/a...dertray1-1.jpg http://i866.photobucket.com/albums/a...dertray2-1.jpg Then using indy brackets that come with the plate mate to mount the indys etc. Then two bolts through the whole lot to mount the numberplate indys etc to the pre fitted back plate and the jobs a good'un http://i866.photobucket.com/albums/a...undertray3.jpg Hope that is of some help. |
