I've set off the exact same camera on a push bike overtaking cars as I go, tis dead easy, there's a huge hill beforehand.

And if they could Identify you the COULD give you your points :)

Not sure if it would apply to roller-skates tho...

points on a push bike? surely not, its not a registered vehicle, doesnt pay tax, doesnt need a licence to ride

You still have a driving license so are a licensed driver, so I believe points can be given.

EDIT: - not speeding, but another Road Traffic Offence. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/...nd/8148763.stm

yep can be done for speeding on a unmotorised vehicle

True I do have a licence, never occured to me that I could get points on the push bike though. At worst I would have expected to be pulled over and given a sharp look by an officer asking "What do you think youre doing?"
Shall try to be un-identifiable as possible next time :) and smile for the camera

Yup tis true.
You can be done for being drunk in charge of a pedal bike and get points on your licences or even for "Pedalling furiously"!

If someone tried to penalise me for going too fast on a bike/roller-skates/soapbox racer etc i'd tell them where to shove them..
