knee sliders?

Right there folks from the knee down thread and not wantingto derail. Im off to a track day in September (yes a long time away i know) butas ive just turned to my left ive found an old knee slider that i lent topaul6th at leeming and its in bits! Soooo im hoping that ill be able to get myknee down in sept (long time away i know) but i need to budget for kit. So whatdo i need? Preferably some that are about 2ft thick J but i don’t want somethingthats too daft. As i don’t know much about them (and paul complaining bitterlyas he handed me back 2 pieces of smoking plastic) what do i need? Bearing inmind im on a budget and tbh there never going to see tarmac unless im lookingfor oil leaks.

Ideas?

Wow you are thinking about this way too much.

Go to shop
Buy some knee sliders
Job done

Theres usually some sort of vendor at the track selling track bits n bobs so you can pick some up there.

I just trawlled ebay and ended up buying some white Wiz ones for £22 including postage. They weren't the cheapest but they weren't the most expensive. They're reasonably thick in comparrison to some, but not stupid looking :)

Motrax ones are pretty chunky, and when you grind them they melt a bit which is cool, nice and slippery and make appropriate sliding noises

But they're made by motrax, so might get him kicked in the face while looking for oil leaks :)

I've just got some plain plastic ones, they all do the same job. But budget for around £20
