flashing red light, FI on the dash and FI where the temp reading is.
 

what does this mean? does it mean i have to empty my bank at my bike? had a quick search but cant find anything really answering it

The red light and FI means the ECU (engine computer) is throwing out an error code with the fuel injection system. Best to look up the code by throwing the bike into dealer mode to see what the problem is. This is relatively simple and can find the directions for doing so in the TPS adjustment procedure.

My red FI light comes on when I switch on the ignition, goes off once the engine is started. I havn't had any troubles with the bike in the 8000 odd miles I've been riding it though.

this is a development from my misfire issue i was having which was causing bike to cut out completely. i entered dealer mode to set my TPS and set that right. and the code then was c00 which i understood to mean there was no error present, this final FI light in the temp space had only come on as i got very stressed with the bike and decided to put it back in the shed for another day of tinkering. tried to start then engine and it wouldnt which is when it all started to flash, so i didnt want to start it up and i just pushed it. thanks guys :)

an FI can come on if one of the PAIR hoses comes loose and as far as i know there is no error code. this might also be associated with your running problem. i could be wrong as usual though.
