Contour HD Full 1080p camera
 

Hey guys,
I've just bought a Contour HD Full 1080p camera, I haven't received it yet but I'm worried I wont be able to fit it on my helmet. I've got a HJC, IS-16 helmet.

I've had a look on google and the fitting kits seem to be for either cars, cycle helmets or motorcross helmets. Correct me if I'm wrong but would someone be able to point me in the right direction to where I can get something to securely attach the camera to my helmet. If not please let me know asap so I can return the item before they deliver it

uses a curved/flat sticky pad mount that sticks on your helmet

I'm waiting on mine, ordered from the US and saved a fortune on UK price.

What do people think of it?
Reviews suggest I'll need to get the waterproof case.
And is the universal mount adapter going to fit ok with that on?

Turn the Mic Gain down , I generally film in 720 anyway as my poor laptop turns over on it`s side when I try to make it process 1080p stuff . Not had the need to get a waterproof case yet . I run mine on a Ball mount on my handlebars or one from my Crash Bungs

Just bought one.
Mounted it on helmet using the supplied sticky doobry no problem.
I turned the sound UP, not down.
Seems to work ok, 1080 video is really good, and copes with lighting changes well.
Youtube here, but of course the quality has been mega munged

Why have you pointed it at the floor and using standard definition? lol Youtube does a good job on mine.

its the first outing, so yes it was pointing waht was i thought straight - I've adjusted it for tomorrows attempt.
As far as youtube, it was in 1080, I chopped it in windows movie maker and pressed the youtube upload button - what is the best way?

I know when I last used Windows Movie Maker (a while ago) all the options it gave were incompatible to what Youtube wants so it looks rubbish when uploaded. What you want to do is learn how to use Sony Vegas or other editing software that lets you have full control of how the video is saved.
