Tail tidy and panniers?

I want to get rid of the snow plough as many do, but when going away with the GF we tend to use panniers on the bike. Does anyone know of a good solution to get around fouling the indicators?

Is it simply a task of fitting mini indicators with the tail tidy or is it more difficult. Ideally I want to stay away from a new undertray with indicators.

Was thinking that maybe something like this might work.

Depends how far forward/back you mount the panniers and what size/make they are IMO.

Ive got a tail tidy and its a fine balance between being far enough forward to avoid fouling mini indies and far enough back to give our lass enough leg room to the pegs.

As much as you might not want to, I'd go with the new tray and a wheel hugger. Much more clean than those weird mounting brackets you find on ebay....

You could just get a piece of metal tube and when using panniers, bolt it across behind the indicators, just proud of the widest point. Your panniers can "rest" on the ends.

I used to do that, plus, it gives them something to be fixed to, stops them flapping!

Pete ;)

Thanks for the thoughts chaps. I might get my Dad to machine something at work to solve it, he's pretty clever like that.
