I have noticed that there are plenty of charging points about in the bush and deserts of the more remote places.
Anybody who has lived or worked in a remote place would probably appreciate something that is easy to repair rather than becoming more complicated. This was the advantage of the old meccano set landrover-----simplicity and ruggedness,no frills |

Isn't this what they had in Jurassic Park?

Re: Electric Landie - Potential Darwin Awards nomination ? !
The Jurassic Park one ran on a track that it got its power from. This thing can be driven anywhere so long as it's not far from a plug socket :p

Replacing the diesel engine drops the electric Defender's carbon dioxide emissions from 295g/km to zero
But the coal power station emissions in neighbouring Botswana for charging the battery are 450g/km. |

"now they will be able to sneak up on the wildlife in silence"
Sure - because none of the wildlife ever looks around to see what's coming - and you'd hear all the loud American tourists from about 3 miles away. |

Have those people never watched Wild At Heart? The last thing you want is a vehicle with only a 50 mile range - how is Danny the Wondervet supposed to get around in that?! He'll get stranded somewhere in the bush, lions will come, hippos will charge and he'll have to rescued by Dawn Steele. Actually, I can imagine worse things to happen, rescued by Dawn Steele.....hmm.....
