What rear shock to upgrade to?
I'm considering changing and getting a nicer/better rear shock on my SV but not sure what?
What has everyone else done? Plus which doesn't need loads of extra parts.. :-) And isn't going to need a mortgage to buy. Let me know. |
Re: What rear shock to upgrade to?
dont know about a mortgage but the Nitron Sport i have has been ace. i have never touched any settings from out the box and to me it's perfect. sprung to my weight, valved for my preference and shortened all for a pricey sum of £370 posted. dont know what it would be like on a track as i don't do track days but on the road its plush but in control soaks up all but the worst of the bumps but not bad enough to give you a jolt.

Re: What rear shock to upgrade to?
Agree with Bibio, as I have a Nitron Sport shock as well. New shocks = Nitron, Maxton Ohlin. If you want cheap, lots of threats here on fitting ex Kawasaki shocks from Ebay.

I've got an elka shock on my curvy, not given it a thorough thrashing yet though

Re: What rear shock to upgrade to?
Ive fitted a K4 gsxr1000 shock, £45 off ebay. No complaints so far and much better than the stock

Re: What rear shock to upgrade to?
You have to move or cut the battery tray if you fit one from another bike allot of the time, So worth doing a forum search if you go that route .
