Fitted new exhaust gasket - smoked/gone
 

The rear exhaust pipe was smoking even at full temp and even though the clamp was tightened, this was because i didnt replace the gasket.
So today i replaced it, after a while it still smoked at the clamp area then as the heat built up it disappeared. Does this sound normal? - i was thinking that this is how the gasket 'seals' itself.
