It's Never too early for Sangria!
Few pics form this years euro trip.
We rode down to Portsmouth and got the ferry to Santander. From there we rode towards Malaga and then to Barcelona, returning to Santander via the Pyrenees (\\:D/). 3 weeks, 4k miles, big grins Waiting for the ferry: http://img801.imageshack.us/img801/9813/p5110005p.jpg Sunny Santander: http://img37.imageshack.us/img37/9127/p5120014g.jpg Heading towards Burgos: http://img28.imageshack.us/img28/7435/p5120024.jpg http://img850.imageshack.us/img850/7412/p5120026.jpg Made it to Malaga: http://img15.imageshack.us/img15/5937/p5130044.jpg Gibraltar: http://img405.imageshack.us/img405/7015/056pxf.jpg |

After Barcelona we headed back towards Santander on the N260, ended up in San Sebastian by coincidence for 2 days, glad we did.

Re: It's Never too early for Sangria!
Stunning photos. How were the roads compared to others in Europe you've done Dyzio?
Did you just come back from Santander again? I really fancy going to Spain on the bike... Jealous!! |
Re: It's Never too early for Sangria!
Looks like you had a cracking time. Really fancy doing some thing like this one day. How hard was the planning and doing of your trip, anything you would recommend or do differently etc.?

Roads are amazing, I mean the N roads. they look like they've been laid out yesterday, slow corners, fast corners everything, I can't remember how often I've tried to switch to 7th gear  Heaven is where the Spanish build the roads :) Quote:
This year's planning was quite short, buy the ferry tickets, buy a map and have a rough idea where you want to go. We've set up routes on the day before or even in the morning, campsites were easy to find and had lots of free places - late May. And stay off the motorways unless you need to to big miles - Valencia to Vinaros is about 100 miles - it took us about 200 miles to get there :D Would I do anything differently - yes, stay there! ;) To be honest 3 weeks was a bit too much and Spain is huge, but I'm happy having done the trip. |

Re: It's Never too early for Sangria!
Depends what you want to do, look up roads worth riding. Find out about towns etc if you fancy a bit of sightseeing. Once there you'll get into a rhythm after 2-3 days.
