Loan bike moan

Due to the local ducati dealer being farmer giles away i had to leave the hyper there for its service and make do with a loan bike. 70-odd miles home on this...

What a utter POS.

Its the most vibey bike ever, the motor shakes like a sh1tting dog on tickover and when rolling off the throttle my teeth shook in their sockets. The brakes are non existent, didnt realise till i come off the M5 and needed to scrub off some speed for a roundabout. This time i resembled the sh1tting dog.
I really dont understand why the older generation like them, its so uncomfortable! My knees were just millimetres away from my elbows and the wind blast was worse than my hypermotard. Motorway speeds were unbearable. The saddle almost gave me piles. In an hour.
I told the lovely old dealership guy he may as well have given me a fookin horse to ride home. The guy (complete with beard, long hair and shades indoors) wasnt amused, esp when i called him a cnut for trying to get me killed on my way home.

It sounded nice tho, and strangely i kinda started to enjoy it. In a non-a$$less leather chaps kinda way.

Funny, I saw the picture and thought, oh oh what's the write up gonna be?

So it's crap but you are beginning to like it. It's a slippery slope from here my friend.

Bring on the chaps.

Ahahahahahaha!!

Well at least the questionable engine noises, build quality and reliability of the ducati will seem perfectly acceptable now!! :-P

Lol, for once the ducati will sound quieter ;)

I have to confess before doing my DAS I looked on harleys and the like and thought they looked pretty cool and was in awe of some of the engineering involved.
But, since getting a bike and seeing these type of bikes for what they are, massively under powered, vibey, heavy, incredibly inefficient and questionable reliability, I have changed my opinion.

I cant wait to take it back. I would like some room back in my garage! And im avoiding all motorways this time. Its almost like riding an overweight C90.

The worst bit about it was the fact that the sun was out all day today. I didnt fancy going for a ride though.

I wonder why?

I miss the duke already :(
