Curvy brake disc bolts

Have spent a few hours utilising the Search function to try and establish whether or not I should use NEW bolts to secure my new discs or can I usethe old ones if I threadlock them. There appears to be many conflicting views.

So the Question New Bolts ? Please answer just yes or no !!!

Thanks all.

Not a simple yes or no question. If all the threads appear even and in good condition I would say "no". But then again, on 10-12 year old bike.....

They are fine to reuse unless damaged, use a general purpose medium strength threadlock.

Yeah that's fine, wire brush the old threadlock off first.

I've always inspected, and re-used mine, provided they looked OK.

The bolts don't get re-used very often anyway :)

I re used my disc bolts when i changed the discs at 50k. Its now on 71k without any issues and i didnt even threadlock them.

So i would say no, use the old ones

Yup, I agree, use the old ones. I've just cleaned mine, re threadlocked & fitted. They seem fine
