Another one for the geeks - UPS suggestions
 

We've had a 1000kVA APC with 8 outputs that seems to have destroyed it's second battery (the first one lasted 5 years, the latest only 2 and it was a genuine APC battery). I've got a windows server, monitor, twin power-supply IBM server and a router and switch plugged into it. Do I spend £300 odd on a direct replacement or am I better getting 2 or 3 smaller ones and giving each server it's own plus one for the accessories?

Suggestions appreciated.
