Where's the rain???
 

Silly me. After much consideration and deliberation I put my faith in the BBC this morning and decided to leave the bike at home, in light of the forecast of thunderstorms and apocalyptic conditions of biblical proportions throughout Essex.

Oh how I missed the ride in this morning.... especially as it appears I was the only one that paid attention to the forecast, judging from the number of bikes on the road. :(

Is it me or has the BBC's forecast accuracy become increasingly erratic of late? I'm resorting back to looking out of the window with a wet finger in the air. ;)

I did however bring my rain overalls.
well the Mrs ones as mine have gone into hiding.
NO pointing fingers and laughing at the tit with the purple. wet gear on

I'm quite partial to purple, better than pink at least. :D

Someone mentioned thunderstorms yesterday so I wore my waterproof textiles for the journey home. On the way back the weather was glorious but it was like monsoon season inside the suit. Rather moist, to say the least. Talk about boil in the bag.

Yes my leather jeans stuck to my legs .not an unamuseing site trying to get them off for the dash to drop the small dude to the swimming pool .

I've still got sun, its alright, i have to hang washing out so it'll rain soon. Just in time for me to get on my bike!

rain lasted about 1 -2 minutes with splatters on the windows..all dry now..carry on as normal. still deliberating when to get the bike out.. you will know when i do by the state of the sky :)

You need a lightweight base layer. Wicks the sweat away when it's hot, getting leathers on/off is a lot easier, and if it rains and suddenly cools down it helps keep you warm. I got some for Chrimbo and find them great, plus they're washable, unlike the (non-removable) lining of my leathers...
