520 race chain
 
ok so got my entry accepted to race the manx this august wanting to know what very good quality 520 race chains for my sv are available on the market

I think you would have been better placing this thread in the Racing and Paddock Chat section of the forum. Any top brand of 520 chain should be good. I'm assuming you wont want O-ring or X-ring chain for racing. I'm a DID fan and use their 520 X-ring chain on the road. Good luck for the Manx - I will be over there for the first time but only as a spectator!

We use the Regina GPZ race chains. I got 2 seasons easy out of one on my 600 and Steve did 2 seasons on one on his powerbike. Very good chains IMHO. They come in a 120 length so cut down to whatever size you need.

Sarah i thought a 520 would be too weedy for the manx?
or would be totally killed by the end of the week

There is less Hp loss (at the rear wheel) as there is less resistance and slightly less mass on the on the motor.
520 don't last as long on the road with the rigor of normal use
