right its going thin on top so seriously concidering just chopping it all off, eg down to the bone
but is there anything apart from aftershave i could /should use to stop it peeling like a barsteward etc

Just shave it. Clippers, no guard. You need a bit of suncream in the sun as the skin will be a bit sensitive and a peeling head ain't so pretty. Get wifey to rub it in:D I love having a shaved head, and when I let me hair grow it feels right orrible.

Same here. 'Orrible and sweaty and greasy when it grows out a bit (more so than normal before you say owt ya bogtrottin b*stard!)

Is it pealing from the sun or from just being dry? You might just need some moisturiser if the latter. I use Nivea Face,Body, Hands lotion. http://www.semichem.co.uk/images/PRODUCT/large/736.jpg
