Re: Sv650S
look in the for sale section to get an idea, unfortunately the suspension is of the same quality on both.

Re: Sv650S
Suspension on both the older (curvy) and later (pointy) models is generously described as "low budget". However, you can make significant improvements for not too much money if you are prepared to get your hands dirty. Better quality rear shocks from various sports bikes can be fitted (though most require at least a little modification of the bike) and the forks can be uprated with stronger springs and thicker oil or you can go for cartridge emulators to see a significant improvement. If you have plenty of time and money to spend you can graft the front end of a GSX-R onto the SV.
2k should be plenty to get you a tidy example of either bike. |
Re: Sv650S
Hi Lucas,
I bought a 2005/6 Pointy, SV650s for £2400. It had done 13000 miles, and didn't have a service book. The guys selling it was "Used Bike Buyer" - goodle him to see if he has any. Also, it was an import from Canada - but this just means more reflectors and a chance 2nd gear will be limited (it still scares me, so I'm not sure mine is). Hope this helps! Alex. |
Re: Sv650S buying advice?
how hard is it to fit a gsxr1000 rear shock on to them and do the forks with emulators how much do you think this would cost?
