I'd like to see the medical qualifications of the State Troopers who made that statement.

Might as well say he would have definitely survived if he hadn't been on a motorcycle at all.

This rider made a conscious decision, presumably aware of the risks - no different to what we all do. Sadly, this time it didn't work out for him.
