nitromors on alloy wheels
 
got some car alloys that need stripping, i thought nitromors but apparently its not recommended, can anyone shed some light on this? :confused:

I used it on sv fork lowers to no ill effect. A cast alloy part same as wheels.

Maybe someone else can shed light on why not to use it?

I've used nitromorse on the SV wheels to not much effect, had to get some proper badass stripper to get the paint off the rims for polishing.

I've used it on fork lowers also. Im sure people use and youtube throws up vids of people using it or something incredibly similar, yet trawling google (closed the page now :scratch:) its says its not recommended :confused:

i used it on my sv wheels also and its stripped off the powder coat in seconds, i washed off the paint and crap with water

I would say Gunk engine desgreaser.

Stripped a layer paint and polish from a caliper with it

Get it done me old. Just make sure that you wash it off properly when you have finished, or it will tarnish the alloy. :)

Yeah I'm just going to brush it on the jet wash the paint and **** off

youll need a wire brush as well. did my mini alloys this way. came up like a mirror (after 2 weeks!)
