Got a frantic phone call from the missus as i was halfway to London at 6am tuesday morning. Apparently two birds landed in the middle lane, so she braked and swerved into the fast lane, only to have them both fly off into her car :(
One rolled over the bonnet and she didn't see the other one, not until she got to work anyway...

'What colour are they?
Brown.
Oh, does it have yellow feet?
Yes,
Hmm, thats not good.'

Just hope they weren't a breeding pair. Felt a bit sorry for her too, everyone at work kept calling her 'killer' and banging on about Kes!

My wife was driving one day and she hit a pigeon in a similar way. You could see its wings flapping over the top of the bonnet. She said "what shall I do" to which I replied "you could stop the car"

Ooops! Did that to a pigeon once; as I slowed down to stop and check for damage the reduced air over the bird let the wing rise up again and, just for a moment, I thought the little f&%*er was still alive!

WAIT A MINUTE! you mean the misses swerved to aviod and animal... tut tut dangerous driving that is. ;) Glad she's ok Si, the ribbing is essential - much needed in these siutations lol.

Looks like a Kestrel, pity, pigeons and ****e hawks are fair game, but birds of prey its sad.

I hit a Barn Owl once in the middle of the night, felt guilty for ages

Aww tis a shame but nothing much you could've done. Hope your missus wasn't too shook up, it's never a nice thing to experience. I feel bad when I hit a bee :(
