Sachsenring Timings?
 

This is the first time I've noticed the difference in timings between the 125's, Moto2 and Moto GP.

Can anyone shed any light on why there is only 6 seconds separating the qualifying time of Vinales on his 125 and Casey Boner on the Repsol Honda?

It's hard to believe that with all that extra power and speed, all that money, all that development, an extra 675cc and all it gives is 6 seconds. It must mean that the guys at the front of the 125 race will be lapping faster than some of the slower guys in the Moto2.

I am guessing its the fact that the 125's can keep more of their speed up round the corners and therefore spend much less time braking. This is just a guess though.

Does anyone know for sure?

Sachsenring is a short tight twisty curcuit. a Go Kart track.

Horsepower would get in the way.
