need advice on back protectors
hi forum,
i am looking at buying a daniese back protector. i have tried on both a large size and medium size and both are pretty comfortable under my one piece suit. but i am not sure which one to purchase, the medium is probably the most comfortable covering most of the back, but leaves small amount at the neck and lil bit above bum. but the large fills these regions. and is a little difficult when sliding over the one piece onto it. it is also slightly uncomfortable due to the lack of space and restrictions. could some give me advice on how a back protector should fit to the back. any website sites will be great and diagramms. any experience on having a off while wearing one will also be helpful. kevin |
Re: need advice on back protectors
I couldn't really offer any advice on the back protector, however I will say that if any part of your kit is uncomfortable it will detract from your concentration. Not a good scenario you may ending testing your kit the painful way.

Forcefield, end of discussion.

Re: need advice on back protectors
It's obviously really important that the back protector fits properly as that way it can do it's job properly. I personally use the Knox Aegis and it covers the full length of my back all the way down, but some protectors are designed to fit in slightly different ways. Had a 60mph get off that involved some acrobatics and it held up fine, and did its job perfectly; well worth a look.

Re: need advice on back protectors
If neither the large or medium fit properly, then the dainese back protector is not for you im afraid. Its essential, especially with a back protector, that it fits right. Theres loads of other companys that manufacture back protectors, alpinestars, knox and forcefield are all well recommended. Shop around and like a buying a helmet, try them all on and you will find one that fits!

Forcefield back protectors are really good. Comfy as hell. I'd say buy one instead of the Daniese any day of the week :)

Re: need advice on back protectors
Chris and I both have one of these, can't knock the Halvarssons kit. So comfy. I believe it's made by Forcefield for Halvarssons, so backing up what others have said, Forcefield are the way to go!

Re: need advice on back protectors
I like my forcefield L2 one.
If you go into a decent shop someone should be able to tell you if it fits properly or not. |
Re: need advice on back protectors
I recently bought a Forcefield, the latest one with Kevlar ( anything with a gimmick me), but remember having a look at
http://www.motorcyclenews.com/upload...tor%20test.pdf when i was interested in back protectors, though the article may be slightly old now it gives a good impression of forcefield and halvarssons |
