Re: 33 BHP single plug ECU
Hi Josh,
There are two types from K7 they changed to a double socket, this is an earlier single socket and will work on all earlier injection models K3-K6 inclusive. It rides pretty much as standard up to 7-8k rpm. I do have a certificate of sorts but will have to check it out when I get back home and send you a picture. I don't think it will be worth the paper it is written on as it is a 10 second job to swap them over, take the seat off and the ECU is next to the battery unplug, replug and off you go. If you got a dealer to swap it and give you a letter to say it's restricted you can undo the restriction in seconds, much easier than the washer or bung variety. The ECUs start with different serial numbers and undoubtedly it would be easy for the police and insurance to check if its a full power or restricted unit. Hope this helps. John |
