Bikers Nod
Am abit bored so thought I'd do a poll. Which statement above best describes who you give the bikers nod too.

Re: Bikers Nod

Re: Bikers Nod
Theres a guy I pass everyday on the way to work who has never nodded back so I dont nod to him anymore :smt019....but your poll wasnt that specific so I went for option 2

Re: Bikers Nod
Not that concise, i forgot to add something about not nodding if not wearing protective gear. Can't edit it though :/

Re: Bikers Nod
Naturally I took the last option on the list.

Re: Bikers Nod
Megz you need to add the following
"Quickie with Keithd is preferable to the nod" I do wave in the most part unless I'm need both hands on the bike |
Re: Bikers Nod
I think I'm number 4 on the list although I don't nod at Chopper riders because usually they don't nod back.
I wave maniacally at Chopper riders, just because I think it makes the riders angry. |

Re: Bikers Nod
I generally nod to anyone on 2 wheels with an engine, I work on the theory that the lads on scooters or on L plates are probably on their way to the world of "big bikes" at some point. I also work on the theory that I like to be nice and it doesn't take much effort for me to nod, if they don't nod back, whatever.
Yesterday my BF rode his 125 from Lancaster to Gretna at which point it broke down. At least 6 "big bikes" rode on past him without so much as a nod or hint of a stop to offer help, doesn't say much about our biking "community". Luckily the bike was easily fixed by BF at the roadside, but I have to wonder had he not been on L plates or had he been on a "big bike" would someone have stopped. Doesn't say much about some of todays bikers in my opinion. |
