Whoops... ran into the girl!
Coming back from Ace Cafe today and got a little too excited, went to follow the missus through a roundabout but she was worried about us getting seperated so came to a stop. I grabbed a handful and a foot'ful and ran into her. Her exhaust hit my engine coolant radiator which has bent and the top left mount has bent out and split.
Doesn't seem to be leaking, engine temp remained at about 86 on the ride home. Radiator as easy to replace as it looks? Recommendations on where to purchase a new one which isn't from a broken up stolen bike? Cheers. :smt085 |

You do know it's polite to ask before you ram her exhaust?

Re: Whoops... ran into the girl!
Did she like you taking her up the rear end or did you get a mouthful when you got home !

Personally, I'd leave it alone if it's not leaking, I bent mine and never replaced it, I bought lowers after so you couldnt see it anyway.

My bike is a K5. New OEM looks like £140. Ouch. |
Re: Whoops... ran into the girl!
They don't come up on eBay very often, there are companies that do replacement copies I think, remember seeing one on eBay before.

Re: Whoops... ran into the girl!
Or get one from aaron radiators at a similar price, i just had to get one for my K4. They will offer you a years warranty, same as delkevic. The build quality on mine looks pretty good, and as a company they only make and repair rads, so know what they are doing.
Annoyingly I had a secondhand K5 (didnt fit my K4) rad, but it sold on ebay on friday. |
